commercial use on a daily, weekly and monthly basis – half day hires are also available.

VEHICLE RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• METHODS OF PAYMENT

  Only credit/debit card transactions are accepted as a method of payment. Cash payments cannot be accepted for any hire.

• DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

  The minimum driver age for commercial vehicles is 25 years old with two years driving experience, The standard maximum age for insurance purposes is 75 years old. Drivers must have no more than 6 penalty points on their license.

• ROADSIDE ASSISATANCE

  Our prices include roadside assistance to protect the hirer from accidents that are out of the hirers control such as tire and glass damage. However, if roadside assistance is required for a fault caused by renter error the hirer will be responsible for costs. This includes locking keys inside, flat batteries and fuel contamination.

• MILEAGE

  All rentals include unlimited mileage except half day rentals.

• PRICING

  All prices include VAT at the current standard rate. There are no hidden extras and there are no extra mileage claims. Rates for all vehicles include comprehensive insurance. This is subject to an insurance excess which will be charged in the event of a claim.

• EXCESS/DEPOSIT

  The insurance excess is £500 on all vehicles. The deposit on all vehicles is £100 with the exception of Extra Large Vans and Lutons which require a £250 deposit. The deposit amount will be pre authorised on your credit/debit card

• HALF DAY HIRES

  Half day hires allow a maximum of 4 hours usage and mileage is limited to a maximum of 25 miles. Half day hires are only available to book on the day of the hire.

• ADDITIONAL DRIVERS

  There is an additional charge of £9 for each additional driver. Each additional driver must be present at the rental desk and have a valid driving license. A maximum of 4 drivers are allowed. Additional drivers are required to attend in person at the time of hire and produce their Driving Licence and printed DVLA Driving Summary.

• FUEL POLICY

  Vehicles are supplied on a like for like basis meaning the vehicle should be returned with the same level of fuel as supplied. Please note that we do not offer a refuelling service so please refuel before returning your vehicle.

• CAR PARKING

  Car parking is available however is limited. On collection please notify us if you are leaving a vehicle so we can ensure it is parked in the most appropriate place.

• SMOKING / CLEANLINESS

  We operate a no smoking policy for all vehicles. If you have smoked or allowed smoking within the vehicle charges will apply. We request no animals be transported in our vehicles unless authorised and contained. In the event that a vehicle is returned in an unreasonable condition and requires more than our standard clean, a valeting charge will apply.

• LOST KEYS

  Please note that if a vehicle is stolen and keys are not returned, the hirer will be deemed negligent. Lost keys are deemed as negligence and are not covered under the insurance excess. Drivers will be liable for all costs relating to recovery, loss of use and repair.

• EARLY RETURNS

  No refunds will be given in partial or ful

• RENTAL EXTENSIONS

  Please do not presume you can extend the hire passed the booking end date and time without prior arrangement. Where possible we will aim to help you extend your booking if necessary however we have to prioritise existing bookings.

• LATE RETURNS

  Please be aware that late returns have an adverse effect on our business. A generous grace period is given however if this is passed charges will apply.

• TERRIOTORIAL LIMITS

  With prior approval, it may be possible that are vehicles may be taken abroad, although there are restrictions regarding taking them into some counties. A surcharge will apply when taking a vehicle outside the UK and extra charges will be applied to provide a Green Card.

• MAXIMUM PAYLOAD

  Maximum payload and individual axle plated weights must not be exceeded. The hirer is responsible for the safe loading and unloading of the vehicle

• FINE, PENALTIES AND ADMINISTRATION CHARGES

  It is the responsibility of each hirer to cover cost of any parking fines and traffic violations including but not limited to unpaid tolls and congestion charges. When fines or traffic violations occur and DVS are involved in administering the violation a management fee will be charged.
